My name is Rachel Harris. I am an African American female, and a first-generation student. I have received my masters in marriage and family therapy at UW-Stout. I am also pursuing a certification in sex therapy, to better assist my clients.
I am a newly licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and obtaining my license as a sex therapist. I have gained a lot of insight on areas such as sex/sexuality, LGBTQ+, BIPOC communities, intersectionality, etc.
When it comes to my therapeutic approach, I am more person-centered and holistic. I love to gain insight about different areas of my client's life. I also want my clients to have autonomy and a voice within the space. My main goal as a therapist is to create a space of safety, support, validation, and respect. I utilize many different modalities during my sessions ( EFT, Family systems, Strategic, IFS, etc.).
While currently obtaining my license as a sex therapist/licensed marriage and family therapist , I have gained a lot of insight on areas such as sex/sexuality, LGBTQ+, BIPOC communities, intersectionality, etc.
